Present Day
Barbie Q is 25 years old origianlly from a tiny little country town called Walpole in southern Western Australia. Residing in Perth, Western Australia since the tender age of 10, he grew up and became a professional makeup artist and a professional dancer with a passion for the stage.
BarbieQ has worked for such makeup houses as Shiseido and Make Up For Ever and has also taught several Certificate II in Makeup Artistry courses at Volona College in Cannington. BarbieQ also freelances doing makeup for balls, weddings and special events.
Barbie Q has been performing for nearly 8 years and is seen in nightclub venues, restaurants and at many other Perth functions. He also starred in the popular tribute show "Priscilla: Queen of the Desert" featured at the wonderful Mulberry On Swan and other dinner theatre restaurants. Barbie Q has also been featured in Margaret River at The Valley Cafe and The Knights Inn and has also been involved in performances for the Cue Festival, which was a huge success.
BarbieQ has also appeared twice on Access 31's Sweet & Sour program, and has recently performed at The Newtown Hotel and The Venus Room in Sydney with Sydney DIVAS Shelley Legs Diamond and Cleopatra Coupe.
Barbie Q is currently working for PRINCESS CRUISES. He started in August 2005 where he shed the drag queen and re-entered a career in the male dancing world. He has toured Alaska, Los Angeles, Cozumel, Limon, Panama Canal, Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Florida aboard the Coral Princess for 7 months and is soon to be returning home in April for a month vacation before departing to Los Angeles once again to begin production for his next contract of shows aboard the Diamond Princess.

The History Behind Barbie Q
"Barbie Q" originally started out as a quick money making scheme to pay rent and bills, never intending it to be a career move! After winning a talent quest hands down at the old DC's Nightclub in Perth, she was quickly snatched up by Chlymidia, (Drag Hostess of TRADE Nightclub),for a show the following week.
From then on, Barbie Q quickly gained popularity from her dynamic and energetic performances. This brought in more shows, bigger crowds and more importantly, every gay and a range of straight nightclub venues in Perth soon made Barbie Q a featured performer. Barbie Q also participates in many charity events such as "Clubwest" which takes place every three months at the Italian Club in North Perth.
Being known as a flat out dance performer, Barbie Q would always be regarded to as "the queen that could dance," and guaranteed that if she was doing a show, that more than likely it would be fast paced.
After doing this style for almost three years, she soon decided to broaden her style, bringing in the "camp" side of drag to where she also excelled. This was a pleasant surprise to her current followers. This gave Barbie Q an even bigger range of material to perform and now, with her new and improved range, she is being cast in many more shows and still building her crowd following.
